Post Production Clubbed with Clipping Path for Apparels, Footwear and Accessory Images for a Fast Fashion Retailer

The Solution.

Delivered 324,000 images with post production of removing blemishes & wrinkles, smoothening skin & removing any other distracting element through clipping path.

Technology / Software.

After comprehending client requirements; it was concluded to use Adobe Photoshop for editing and Adobe Lightroom for color corrections for successfully executing this image enhancement project.

Challenges.

• The project involved intensive beauty/fashion retouching on substantial scale within stipulated turnaround time of 12 hours at the most.
• Skin should appear free of blemishes, bruises and should retain its texture.
• Skin should appear natural; not look too soft or plastic.
• Hair should be lightly touched; garments should be free of excess wrinkles, and dirt on the floor should be completely removed.
• Garment should be free of excess wrinkles, sides should be smoothened and bra straps and bulges removed.
• Background should be solid white; dirt on the floor and background items need to be completely removed however, foot shadow should stay.

The Solution.

For post processing the images to make them more attractive, clipping path expertise clubbed with removing blemishes & wrinkles, smoothening skin & removing any other distracting element was put at task. Images were uploaded on server for processing as per client specifications. 14 plus graphic designers working on this ongoing project, enhancing more than 12,000 images a month. To attain this challenging task a workflow was designed, with ensured that a designer would work only on his/her area of expertise, i.e., skin tone, hair, etc. in coordination with internal checklist & specifications by client. Multilayered quality check process was followed. Upon completion, the process of data transfer through server was followed to send, images back to the client.
