The client is an engineering contracting company based in Ireland. They offer services such as offsite fabrication, modular and bespoke manufacturing solutions, specialist rigging, maintenance, geo surveying, and bioenergy for Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Protection systems. With over 3,000 employees, the company commands a turnover of over $571 million.
The client was awarded one of the biggest multi-storey hospital projects in Ireland for installation of Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire protection systems. They had two sub companies working on different disciplines of the projects, so they needed to coordinate both disciplines. For this they required coordinated MEPF models with accurate shop drawings.
The project was extremely quality sensitive as the drawings were to be used for prefabrication and placing openings in walls during construction for passing MEPF services through the wall/floor during installation. Errors would be extremely costly in terms of iterative processes, material waste and delayed timelines.
The project was to be completed within a planned time frame.
The client partnered with HitechDigital. The scope of deliverables identified were:
Based on scope of work identified and documented for models and drawings across Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical piping and Fire protection disciplines, the HitechDigital engineers submitted accurate sets of deliverables at different stages of the project. The project was completed within the defined timelines, meeting quality benchmarks.
